Grown in the outskirts of Kannuaj in India’s Uttar Pradesh and cultivated by local farmers from May to September, our ruh bella essential oil is without equal. It is hand-picked, dried for an hour, then twice distilled - first for six hours and then for an additional two – to concentrate the precious and delicate molecules. This artisanal process uses traditional hydro distillation, carefully tended by fourth-generation distillers to produce a rare oil that avoids solvent extraction. Used traditionally in temple garlands and as offerings to the gods, forty kilos of jasmine flowers yields just eight grams of prized oil.

  • Jasmine sambac has long held sacred status in the northern regions of India, where she is woven into daily ritual, spiritual offering, and celebration. Blossoms are gathered at dawn and strung into garlands as symbols of divine beauty, purity, and reverence. Offered at temples, worn in the hair, or used to scent sacred spaces.

Known as the “Queen of the Night,” Jasmine was often offered as a token of love for the divine. The sweetness of her scent carries renewal and lightness of being, helping one come to terms with lingering emotions while awakening playfulness, sensuality, and the release of inhibitions. She creates a bridge between devotion and the sensual, encouraging connection to both heart and spirit.

Her aroma is bold yet tender, radiant yet grounding, often chosen to:

Deepen connection to the heart, sacral, and crown energy centres

Support rituals of love, devotion, renewal, or forgiveness

Encourage emotional receptivity and sacred sensuality

Anchor moments of transition, whether emotional, spiritual, or creative

Energetically, Jasmine sambac expresses feminine fullness and lunar warmth, supportive for restoring internal flow where there has been contraction, grief, or emotional overwhelm.

  • Jasmine sambac is deeply attuned to the emotional body, offering a sweetness that comforts and uplifts in equal measure. It is often chosen to:

Ease feelings of heaviness, grief, or inner doubt with gentle reassurance

Restore warmth, openness, and a sense of safety in times of vulnerability

Encourage self-confidence and inner radiance, especially during cycles of stress or fatigue

Nurture sensitivity while inspiring joy, intimacy, and connection

Emotionally, Jasmine’s presence is both grounding and elevating—ideal for those who feel depleted, withdrawn, or tender-hearted. She supports emotional integration with grace, helping to reawaken vitality and openness while honouring the delicate rhythms of the heart.

  • Jasmine sambac is one of the most versatile floral heart notes in natural perfumery. Its exotic sweetness and green-herbaceous facets allow it to move gracefully across perfume families:

    • Floral Bouquets: Anchors compositions with radiant fullness, pairing seamlessly with rose, neroli, ylang ylang, and tuberose.

    • Oriental & Amber: Adds sensual warmth and complexity, blending well with sandalwood, patchouli, amber accords, and resins such as frankincense.

    • Citrus & Fresh: Balances sparkling top notes of bergamot, mandarin, and petitgrain, grounding brightness with soft floral depth.

    • Green & Herbaceous: Its subtle leafy undertones weave naturally with basil, clary sage, or galbanum, enhancing freshness without overpowering.

    • Woody & Balsamic: Marries beautifully with cedarwood, vetiver, and sandalwood, softening structure with a luminous floral veil.

Even in trace amounts, Jasmine sambac can transform a blend — bringing opulence, warmth, and a distinctly sensual character that lingers on the skin.
