Our wild harvested and certified organic lavender is lovingly hand pruned by sickle each July at 1600m above sea level in the Alpes-Maritimes region of provincial France. Collected by five women and five men – to ensure a balance of male and female energies - they spend each morning looking for healthy plants to carefully prune. They work in reverence and respect for the environment, anchoring themselves into the mountain, honouring the precious flower and ensuring the plants are nurtured for future years and generations. Low-pressure steam distillation takes place over many hours using mountain spring water, carrying the water memory into this sublime organic distillation.

  • High Altitude French Lavender holds a gentle yet powerful energetic presence. Cooling and harmonising, her energy supports a sense of internal spaciousness and spiritual clarity. Often used to clear stagnant or disharmonious energy from the aura, she brings calm where there has been chaos and softens the edges of emotional rigidity.

Associated with the Heart and Lung meridians in traditional energetic frameworks, she supports breath, emotional release, and the restoration of inner balance. With an affinity for the Air and Water elements, she facilitates movement through grief, emotional entanglement, and energetic depletion, encouraging a return to stillness and centre.

This lavender is revered across healing traditions for use in cleansing rituals, protective anointing, and transition ceremonies. She creates a container of safety for dreamwork, prayer, or vibrational therapies, allowing the spirit to rest and the nervous system to reset.

  • Lavender offers emotional first aid for the mind and heart. She is particularly well-suited for times of overwhelm, burnout, or deep nervous system fatigue, when the usual tools no longer reach, and what’s needed is true restoration.

Emotionally, she meets fragility with softness. For those with “stuck” or suppressed emotions, she gently encourages movement and resolution without re-triggering or destabilising. Ideal for people emerging from long periods of emotional pressure, she supports unwinding, acceptance, and release.

Mentally, lavender’s clarity promoting effects help ease repetitive thoughts, internal agitation, and emotional reactivity. She can be used as an ally during emotionally charged conversations, before rest, or in the recovery phase after mental or emotional exertion.

  • High altitude French lavender is a gentle yet deeply versatile essential oil, widely appreciated for its support across skin, muscle, and emotional care.

Helps calm and settle the nervous system, promoting a sense of peace and clarity

Supports the skin’s natural recovery processes and is often used to improve the appearance of minor blemishes, dry or compromised areas, and scar-prone skin

Known to be soothing when applied topically to areas of muscular tension or tightness

Encourages respiratory ease through gentle aromatic inhalation

Often included in formulations to help refresh and deodorise

A supportive ally during times of emotional restlessness, overwhelm, or low mood

Traditionally used in aromatherapy to ease mental strain and create space for stillness

Can be incorporated into body oils or creams for general immune and circulatory support

Suitable for use in preventative wellness rituals that aim to restore equilibrium and vitality

  • This exquisite high-altitude lavender reveals a beautifully soft, rounded aromatic signature:

Top notes: Fresh, sweet, and lightly herbaceous

Heart notes: Floral and soft, with a hint of green brightness

Base notes: Lightly balsamic and subtly woody

The elevated growing conditions lend this lavender a more delicate and refined scent compared to standard lavenders; cooler, cleaner, and more ethereal. It’s a favourite for emotional blending, sleep support, and perfumery work that requires a gentler floral note.

  • High Altitude French Lavender is widely regarded as one of the safest essential oils available. It is:

Non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitising for most skin types

Suitable for use with children, the elderly, and those with sensitive systems

Gentle enough for facial application when properly diluted

    However, we always recommend:

Dilution before topical use, especially for sensitive skin or facial areas

    Patch testing before first use

Avoiding contact with eyes and mucous membranes

If pregnant, breastfeeding, or managing a serious medical condition, consult a qualified clinical aromatherapist or healthcare provider before use.

While our founder is extensively trained in clinical aromatherapy and aromatic medicine, we do not advocate for the internal use of essential oils without guidance from a qualified professional.

Always keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dark place.

  • Store in a cool, dark place, away from heat, sunlight, and moisture. Keep the bottle tightly sealed between uses to minimise oxidation and preserve the delicate aromatic profile.

Packaged in violet glass to enhance longevity and protect against UV degradation, this oil remains stable and vibrant when properly cared for.

Shelf life: 3–5 years when stored correctly.

Discontinue use if the scent changes noticeably, becoming sharp, sour, or otherwise altered.
